Man gets electronic bracelet for domestic violence in the municipality of Loulé

GNR recalls that «domestic violence is a public crime and reporting it is a collective responsibility»

The GNR of Almancil arrested, on the 16th of March, a 46-year-old man for domestic violence, in the municipality of Loulé.

As part of a complaint for the crime of domestic violence, guardsmen went to the scene and witnessed the suspect threatening the victim, his 38-year-old partner. 

The detainee was present at the Judicial Court of Faro, and a coercive measure was applied to remove the victim within a radius of 500 meters, using an electronic bracelet.

In a note sent to newsrooms, the GNR recalls that "domestic violence is a public crime and denouncing it is a collective responsibility".
