The civil service strike, which is taking place this Friday, March 17th, is causing long queues at Faro.

The stoppage is strongly affecting passport control, carried out by the Foreigners and Borders Service, as two readers told the Sul Informação.

Kiss radio in Albufeira, which broadcasts in English, received several requests for help, as well as reports of fainting and altercations.

On social networks, there are also testimonies of passengers, coming from the United Kingdom, who waited four hours in queues.

The civil service strike, called by the Common Front unions, has already led to the closure of schools and other state services.

Hospitals are also being affected.
