Mediterranean Diet Fair returns to Tavira with Rui Veloso and Carolina Deslandes

Presentation was made at BTL by the mayor of Tavira

The Mediterranean Diet Fair returns to Tavira for its ninth edition, from the 7th to the 10th of September, and will feature Rui Veloso and Carolina Deslandes on the poster.

The news was announced by Ana Paula Martins, mayor of Tavira, at the Lisbon Tourism Board (BTL).

In the year that marks the 10th anniversary of the inscription of the Mediterranean Diet as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the mayor of Tavira points out that, since 2013, there has been joint work by all entities in the Algarve to preserve this heritage.

«Although Tavira is the representative community of the Mediterranean Diet, it was welcomed in the Algarve as an inheritance of all. The Mediterranean Diet Fair is a high moment in which we celebrate our heritage and also, on the other hand, help to publicize it so that we can transmit it and pass it on to our children», stressed Ana Paula Martins.

As in previous years, the Fair will have a number of exhibitors selling products, but also workshops, seminars, demonstrations, and a «strong commitment» to culture.

The presentation of the Mediterranean Diet Fair at BTL also included a gastronomic workshop given by the chef starry Luís Brito, from A Ver Tavira.
