The drawing of 90 housing units at controlled costs, which are being built in the Lejana de Baixo area, in Faro, should happen “in April or May”.
The perspective was left this Friday, March 24, by Rogério Bacalhau, mayor of Faro, on the sidelines of the inauguration of Mata do Liceu.
According to the mayor, at the moment the Municipality is closing "the analysis of applications" to find out "who has the conditions".
«There were processes in which documents were missing», he exemplified.
According to Rogério Bacalhau, “about 800 applications” were received for the 90 dwellings.
The draw will take place «in a wide space», where all the people who competed will be invited.

«We want the process to be transparent», considered Rogério Bacalhau.
The 90 apartments, spread over two lots, have the following typologies: T1 (18), T2 (38) and T3 (34).
All apartments will have balconies and garage parking» and the dimensions are stipulated by the Institute for Housing and Urban Rehabilitation (IHRU).
Prices vary between 104.750 and 216.250 euros.
Young people up to the age of 35 will be the ones most likely to secure a home, as they will have a 60% share of the total number of dwellings destined for them. The other two contingents, with 20% of the apartments each, are the disabled and the general contingent, which includes the rest of the population.
The final draw will determine not only the 90 winners, but as many substitutes.
