The construction work on the coastal ecovia between Odeceixe and Carrapateira, in the municipality of Aljezur, a project that has been going on for many years, was handed over on Monday, the 13th, and will start shortly.
According to the Câmara de Aljezur, the Ecovia do Litoral Sudoeste will cost 615 thousand euros plus VAT and has an execution period of 240 days.
«This infrastructure that will connect Odeceixe to Carrapateira, began to be designed within the scope of Polis [Southwest Coast], and after several situations and setbacks in the preparation of the project, a work of extreme importance for the municipality is now starting and the region. Thus advances another extremely important work, embodying the strategy of mobility and enjoyment of one of the most beautiful areas of our country», summarizes the municipality.
The project is financed by CRESC 2020 in the amount of around 336 thousand euros and 202 thousand euros by Turismo de Portugal. The investment by the municipality will be around 70 thousand euros.
