CDU wants to increase pedestrian safety at night in Lagos

Coalition proposes lighting of crosswalks

The proposal “Better mobility – more security”, presented by Alexandre Nunes, councilor of the CDU, on the 22nd of March, was voted unanimously in a meeting with the Municipality of Lagos.

The proposal aims to «increase pedestrian safety at night» with lighting of crosswalks in the area of the municipality of Lagos.

«This objective can be achieved with the installation of vertical signs that identify the places where pedestrians cross, powered by photovoltaic panels, adjusted according to the context of the location of each of the pedestrian crossings, seeking to guarantee, on the one hand, a greater visibility to the driver of the existence of pedestrians on the crossing, and also oblige the moderation of speed in the vicinity», says the coalition.
