Lagos City Council reinforces its online customer service

New platform "Serviços Online" is available at the Municipality's Virtual Counter since March 1st

A new catalog of administrative services, available at the Municipality's Virtual Desk, expanded and consolidated the distance service provided by Lagos City Council.

For the municipality, «it is about opening another door of interaction with the citizen and the economic agents, which will allow to increase the electronic submission of applications and move, progressively, towards the total dematerialization of processes». At the same time, «investment in face-to-face and telephone assistance is maintained».

The new platformOnline Services”, which is available at Virtual Desk of the municipality since the 1st of March, was developed within the scope of “#AlgarveMaisDigital”, an administrative modernization project approved by CRESC Algarve 2020 and supported by the FEDER, which involves AMAL – Comunidade Intermunicipal do Algarve and the municipalities.

In addition to querying and downloading applications, the new “Online Services” allows you to fill in the form and, for registered users, to submit applications directly via the internet. This feature avoids travel and associated costs, automates internal procedures and allows for efficiency gains.

The requirements currently available in the “Online Services” of Lagos City Council are grouped into 13 major thematic areas.

Orders related to carrying out urban planning and related operations are now delivered exclusively through this platform, in accordance with the new instruction standards published in the Notice No. 27/2023 of January 30, which presupposes mandatory prior registration on the platform and user authentication.

So that it is possible «to take full advantage of the functionalities inherent to the catalog as a whole» of the «Online Services”, the municipality recommends that citizens and economic agents register on the platform, an operation that can be carried out in person or through the platform.

In case of doubt, users can obtain help via telephone, from the City Council's customer service, during office hours, through the contacts 282 771 700 or 282 780 900 (selecting “Option 1” for questions related to registration ).

As for questions related to the submission of requests for Urban Operations, technical support from the Urban Management Division is available daily, between 15 pm and 00 pm, through the same numbers (by selecting “Option 17 – Operator”).
