The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve hosts, from 14 to 16 April, the 6 Hours of Portimão, the second race on the 2023 calendar of the FIA WEC, the world endurance championship under the aegis of the FIA.

In its 11th season, the championship features a record-breaking entry list for both Hypercar and LMGTE Am, including names such as former Formula 1 drivers Antonio Giovinazzi and Jacques Vileneuve, who make up the batch of 38 permanent drivers in these two categories, from 12 different nations.

With a global number of nine manufacturers on track, the entries of emblems such as Cadillac, Ferrari and Porsche stand out, which join the Hypercar squad, whose class has a total of 13 cars entered.

These are joined by 11 LM P2 and 14 LMGTE Am, highlighting that, for Ferrari, the presence of the 499P marks the 50th anniversary since the 312P made its last appearance in the championship.

In this second round of WEC 2023, there will be two Portuguese riders on track. António Félix da Costa and Filipe Albuquerque will line up in the LM P2 squad, the first with the colors of Hertz Team Jota, the second with United Autosports.

Both are candidates to win on a track where either one of them knows the fastest way to climb the step of the podium.

Tickets for this race are now available for sale and prices range from 25 (Bancada Portimão) to 150 euros (VIP Tower) for the entire weekend, and can be purchased on the official website of the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.
