The 1st edition of the program “Voz em Canto”, promoted by Artis XXI, took place from the 3rd of February to the 4th of March, in Lagoa.
The singing cycle was heard on the 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th of February in a total of four concerts with themes and in different places.
The tour began at the church in Ferragudo and continued to various wine estates [Morgado do Quintão, Quinta da Palmeirinha and Adega Arvad], reaching more than 450 people, including students from the two groups of schools in the Municipality of Lagoa and the Conservatório de Lake Arts.
In a total of five singers – soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor and baritone – the power and range of the voice inserted in various chamber formations was demonstrated.
The Open Day took place on the 4th of March, as part of the ARTIS XXI cultural mediation project. A workshop for babies, a theater laboratory, a commented concert and small concerts by young people took almost 100 people to the Conservatório de Artes de Lagoa on Saturday morning.
This event was produced by Artis XXI, a structure financed by DGartes and the Municipality of Lagoa.
The artistic direction was in charge of Elsa Mathei.
