VRSA celebrates Carnival with dances and school parade

Celebrations take place between the 17th and 25th of February

The municipality of Vila Real de Santo António will celebrate Carnival, between the 17th and 25th of February, with dances and a school parade. 

The festivities begin on the 17th, Friday, with the usual children's parade, developed in partnership with pre-school and first cycle schools, from 10 am, in the three parishes of the municipality.

The program is joined by a set of dances at the António Aleixo Cultural Center and at Praça Marquês de Pombal, in VRSA, in the West zone of the Casino, in Monte Gordo, and at Largo Manuel Cabanas, in Vila Nova de Cacela.

In VRSA, the dances take place on the 18th, 19th, 20th and 25th (pinata), at 21:30 pm, at the Cultural Center. These initiatives are joined by matinee Tuesday, Shrovetide, the 21st, at 15 pm, at Praça Marquês de Pombal.

Already in Monte Gordo the dances are scheduled for the 18th, 19th and 20th of February, always at 22 pm, with the exception of matinee on Carnival Tuesday, the 21st, scheduled for 15 pm.

In the parish of Vila Nova de Cacela, the festivities are scheduled for the 19th, Sunday, from 16 pm.

The Carnival celebrations in the municipality of Vila Real de Santo António are co-organized by the Municipality of VRSA and the Parish Councils of Vila Real de Santo António, Monte Gordo and Vila Nova de Cacela.
