The Atlético Clube de Albufeira players were crowned, over the weekend, regional champions in Volleyball, in Women's Juveniles, now moving up to the National Championship.
In the event organized by the Volleyball Association of Alentejo and Algarve, the Albufeira women came in 1st place, ahead of Quarteira BS, São Francisco AD and ADF Loulé, thus becoming Regional Champions of the Algarve.
The Algarve team from Albufeira suffered just one defeat in the six games played.
Now, they have the National Championship ahead of them, which will start this February.
“The Regional is always a very difficult competition”, but so far “we competed well and reached the last game at the top. We are very happy”, commented Andres Del Rio, coach of the team.
“In just over a year of the project, becoming Regional Champions of the Algarve is something that makes us very proud. It is the result of the daily work of our entire team and these athletes who were sensational ”, he added.
