Vila do Bispo, Vidigueira, Alandroal and Avis gain access to the network of notary offices

Network becomes available in six new locations in the country that until now had no access

The network of notary offices will be available in six new locations in the country that until now had no access, following licenses awarded today, after a public tender, at the Ordem dos Notarios, in Lisbon.

Bishop's Village (Faro), Vidigueira (Beja), Alandroal (Évora), Avis (Portalegre), Boticas (Vila Real) and Porto Moniz (Madeira) are the six locations that gain access to these services in the respective municipalities, speeding up the resolution of issues related to certificates, powers of attorney, deeds, inheritances, wills and businesses.

According to a statement from the Order of Notaries, licenses were also awarded to open a notary in the municipalities of Oeiras, São Vicente, Portel and Sobral de Monte Agraço. The Secretary of State for Justice, Pedro Tavares, was also present at the event.

“The network of notary offices should be used by the State to provide more services to citizens, namely in locations where other public services have little means to do so”, said the President of the Order of Notaries, Jorge Batista da Silva.
