The poetic concert “Bird Writer”, by the Figo Lampo Association, has two sessions scheduled, on the 17th and 18th of February, at Teatro Mascarenhas Gregório, in Silves.
The first session is on the 17th, at 14 pm (aimed at the school community), and the second on the 00th, at 18 pm (aimed at families and the general public).
This poetic concert – which combines poetry with classical music – brings together books and poems (mostly from the National Reading Plan) by authors such as Fernando Pessoa, Cecília Meireles, Manuel António Pina, José Fanha, Luísa Ducla Soares, Sidónio Muralha, Álvaro Magalhães, composers such as Frédéric Chopin, WA Mozart, Arvo Part, William Gillock, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Claude Debussy, Ivo Cruz, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Moritz Moszkowski.
Promoting the reading of poetry among younger people and the enjoyment of classical music are some of the goals of this initiative.
Admission is free, but subject to collecting a voucher, which, in the case of the session scheduled for February 18, can be made one hour before the start of the show.
