Six doctors reinforce Health Centers in the Algarve

New doctors will join teams in the councils of Faro, Olhão, São Brás de Alportel and Tavira

The Regional Health Administration (ARS) of the Algarve signed new contracts this month with six doctors, four specializing in General and Family Medicine and two in the area of ​​Public Health, to reinforce the teams at the health units in the region.

The new doctors will join the teams of the Personalized Health Care Units in the councils of Faro, Olhão, São Brás de Alportel and Tavira and the Public Health Unit of the Grouping of Health Centers – Central.

«The integration of these professionals makes it possible for ARS Algarve to reinforce the assistance activity and the primary health care of proximity and public health in the Algarve region, contributing to improve the quality of services provided to the local community», says the entity.

The welcome sessions for the new doctors, along with the signing of the contracts, were attended by Paulo Morgado, chairman of the Board of Directors of ARS Algarve, who congratulated the new doctors on their interest in integrating primary health care and public health in the region.
