Hundreds of masks, lots of music and animation. This was the first day that the Loulé Carnival parade took to the streets again.
In the year in which the theme is the aspiring Geopark Algarvensis, in the process of being classified as such by UNESCO, it is expected that Avenida José da Costa Mealha will receive, during the three days of festivities, «between 60 and 80 thousand people». The estimate was given by the mayor Vítor Aleixo during the official presentation that Sul Informação followed.
The Corsican goes out again tomorrow and Tuesday.
As in previous years, entrance tickets cost €2 in this case, and the proceeds go to participating associations and IPSS in the municipality.
