photojournalist of Sul Informação opens exhibition to show that «we are all equal»

“Equal” will be visible until March 27

Flavio Costa

Flávio Costa, photojournalist at Sul Informação and Dois magazine, will open this Friday, February 10th, its first solo exhibition. “Equal”, which brings together 14 photographs, wants, above all, to show that «we are all equal».

The photography exhibition will open at 17 pm at the Costume Museum in São Brás de Alportel, where Flávio Costa was born.

In statements to the Sul Informação, the photographer explains that the exhibition features a total of «14 fashion photographs, taken of seven different models».

«Each model was made up by Adriana Reis, with whom I share this exhibition. When choosing the models, extra care was taken to include, as far as possible, people with different characteristics », she adds.

Thus, there will be «models with different hair tones, skin color and eyes», exemplifies Flávio Costa.

The main objective of this exhibition is «to make people aware of an essential issue: we are all the same, regardless of our physical characteristics», says the young photojournalist, aged 23.

«What I really want is for everyone to be aware of this», emphasizes Flávio.

After the idea, the man from São Paulo presented a proposal for an exhibition at the Museu do Traje, which he «promptly accepted».

This is the first exhibition by Flávio Costa, graduated in photography from ETIC_Algarve, which fills him with pride.

′′ For me, it's a victory. I hope to gain recognition and that this is the first exhibition of many», he concludes.

“Equal” will run until March 27.

The exhibition has the support of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de São Brás de Alportel, the Costume Museum, São Brás de Alportel Chamber and the Parish Council of São Brás de Alportel.
