The Chamber of Faro will sell a lot for the construction of a hotel, next to the Penha Sports Complex, where the swimming pools and the Municipal Pavilion are located, at a public auction scheduled for the 24th of March.
This 4 square meter plot of land is «intended for the construction of a tourist complex» and «provides for the construction of up to 184 accommodation units», according to the Chamber of Deputies. Faro.
The base price of the bidding is 4.225.000 euros (four million, two hundred and twenty-five thousand euros).
Parts of the procedure are available for consultation on the municipality's website., at the Department of Administrative and Asset Management/ Assets and Registration Service, in the Paços do Concelho building, and at the Municipal Store, located in the Citizen's Store in the Municipal Market of Faro, on weekdays, from 09:00 am to 17:00 pm.
Written proposals must be delivered by 16:00 pm on March 20th, by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt, in an opaque and closed envelope, addressed to the chairman of the commission for the public auction, to the address indicated in accordance with the parts of the procedure.
Requests for clarification must be addressed to the Commission, in writing, by 16 pm on February 00th, and responses must be provided by March 27th.
During the first third of the period for submission of proposals, the interested party may visit the site and carry out the surveys that it deems essential for the preparation of its proposal, by prior appointment required two working days in advance.
The public auction will take place on the 24th of March at 10:00 am in the main hall of the Paços do Concelho de Faro, before the commission appointed for the purpose.
