Man arrested for committing at least 12 crimes in Faro

Suspect remanded in custody Faro

A 31-year-old man suspected of committing at least 12 crimes, including robberies and thefts from houses and cars in Faro, was arrested on the 1st of February. 

According to the PSP, the suspect committed the crimes through threats and physical violence, also using cold weapons to intimidate the victims.

The arrest was made through an arrest warrant outside of flagrante delicto, issued by the Judiciary Authority of Faro.

After being brought before the court, he was remanded in custody at the Prison of Faro.

«The conduct adopted by the suspect was the cause of enormous social alarm, increasing the feeling of insecurity among the citizens of the city of Faro, since many of the crimes were committed using violence. The deprivation of liberty now applied to the suspect allows to restore tranquility among the population of the Algarve capital», says the PSP.
