CVA launches “Algarve Wine Tourism”, the new route that combines wines and experiences

Under the motto “The Perfect Pairing for your Visit to the Algarve”

The Algarve Wine Commission announced the launch of “Algarve Wine Tourism”, the territory’s new route that combines wines and experiences.

Under the motto “The Perfect Pairing for your Visit to the Algarve”, the project aims to guide the visitor through the Algarve, promoting the discovery of the region's wine, its producers and the richness and diversity of the territory.

“Algarve Wine Tourism” brings together, in this initial phase, more than 20 wine producers, located from the Barrocal to the coast.

In the words of the president of CVA, «Algarve Wine Tourism is living proof that the Algarve region has the capacity to be a reference in national and international wine tourism».

«This bet comes at the right time: the sale price per liter of wine from the region is the highest in Portugal, tourism continues to grow and Portugal is already a reference in wine tourism worldwide. In the region, we have great producers and great projects. I believe that all the conditions are in place for this project to be a success», added Sara Silva.

«The uniqueness of the Algarve wine region is due, in addition to its "terroir", the diversity of its producers. The richness of the territory and its culture is reflected in the experiences available in www.algarvewinetourism.pt». explains the CVA

Having the website as the central element of its communication, the Algarve Wine Tourism aims to promote the wine potential of the region through three types of experiences: Gastronomy, Leisure and Heritage. It intends, therefore, to guide the visitor on his visit to the Algarve, through the experiences that best suit his motivations and his consumption profile.

To book the suggested programs, simply access the page for each experience and contact the partner directly.

Presence on social networks will also be mandatory, with a profile on Facebook e Instagram, in order to promote interaction and sharing of experiences by visitors (@algarvewinetourism).

The Algarve Wine Tourism communication plan for this year foresees the presence at fairs dedicated to tourism and wine tourism, directly or through institutional partnerships, such as the presence at Wine & Travel Week, in Porto, during the 21st and 22nd of February.
