The “Lagos Cidade” digital photography contest aims to “mobilize people and awaken in them the ability to observe a city with 450 years of history”.
According to the Câmara de Lagos, «the challenge consists of looking at its permanent or transitory aspects, its landscape, the manifestations of its historical and cultural heritage, its light and color, among many others that can be photographed and presented as way of celebrating this event».
According to the rules of the competition, each participant can compete with up to three photographs. The period for receiving works runs from the 1st of May to the 15th of June.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers. The winning photos will then be publicly displayed at the Feira Concurso Arte Doce and on the institutional website of the Municipality of Lagos.
«The challenge has been launched, now all you have to do is pick up the machine, sharpen your eyes, register and share with others what your eyes let you see», underlines the Municipality of Lagos.
