PRR Monitoring Committee visits the Algarve

The PRR is a nationwide program with an implementation period until 2026

Pedro Dominguinhos, president of the National Commission for Monitoring the Recovery and Resilience Plan, will be in the Algarve this Thursday and Friday, the 16th and 17th of February, to take stock of the implementation of the PRR in the region. 

In the Algarve, some of the planned works, supported by the PRR, are, for example, the construction of the nine bridge over the Guadiana, in Alcoutim, or the desalination plant.

Pedro Dominguinhos' agenda includes meetings with the rector of the University of the Algarve, with António Pina, president of AMAL – Comunidade Intermunicipal do Algarve, or with HUBEL, Engenharia Agronómica.

The PRR is a nationwide programme, with an implementation period until 2026, which will implement a set of reforms and investments aimed at propelling the country towards recovery, sustained economic growth and convergence with Europe throughout the next decade, guided by a concept of sustainability inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
