The 3.8 magnitude earthquake (Richter), which was recorded on the afternoon of this Saturday, January 7th, off the coast of Sines, was felt with maximum intensity III (modified Mercalli scale) in the municipality of Lagoa.
The shock, which did not cause material or personal damage, was also felt in Cascais and Lisbon, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).
The epicenter of this earthquake was located at sea, about 55 kilometers west of Sines.
