Four men were detained for drug trafficking during a mega-operation carried out by the Criminal Investigation Squadron of the Police Division of Faro from PSP, on Tuesday, the 17th.
The operation also made it possible to seize 25.600 euros that were inside the suspects' homes, after complying with five house search warrants.
As for the arrests, they were framed by arrest warrants outside of flagrante delicto.
In one of the cases, and «in view of the risk assessment», a tactical team from the Special Operations Group of the Special Police Unit of the PSP was engaged. In the remaining arrests, the PSP had the collaboration of the National Republican Guard.
The four men who were detained, aged between 23 and 64, were present before the Criminal Investigation Judge and will remain in preventive detention.
«This operation was carried out in close cooperation and coordination with the Judiciary Police of Faro, namely through the exchange and sharing of criminal information, which made it possible to safeguard the interests of all inquiries under investigation. During this investigation phase, five suspects had already been arrested for the same type of crime», framed the PSP.
