The Invitation to Submit Final Proposals for the Development of projects within the scope of the «Digital Commercial Neighborhoods» measure, provided for in the Recovery and Resilience Plan, was published today, announced the Ministry of Economy and Sea.
In a first phase, the Invitation to Expression of Interest Notice was launched, with 167 Expressions of Interest being considered eligible, out of a total of 189 applications.
Now, the 167 eligible applications will, until March 9, formulate their final project, using the form for submission of applications on the IAPMEI website and at the Balcão dos Fundos.
The objective of this measure is to support the digitization of at least 50 Digital Commercial Neighborhoods, inserted in delimited areas in the public space with a high commercial vitality, in urban centres, suburban or rural areas.
With a total allocation of 52 million euros, 100% will be financed for different types of investment for the qualification and urban rehabilitation of these areas, namely interventions in urban rehabilitation, integration in collective logistical solutions, digitization of the consumption experience and adjacent infrastructures, among others.
For Nuno Fazenda, Secretary of State for Tourism, Commerce and Services, “this is a structural measure for Commerce and for the revitalization of traditional commerce areas. They are very important support for the territory and for companies and demonstrate that, also in commerce, the PRR advances”.
