Guadiana Eurocity presents Strategic Tourism Plan in Madrid

2023-2027 Tourism Strategic Plan will be presented at Fitur this Thursday

The Eurocity of Guadiana (EGTC) will present, next Thursday, January 19, at the International Tourism Fair (Fitur), in Madrid, the Strategic Plan for Tourism 2023-2027.

The initiative takes place in Pavilion 10, Room A 10.7, at 15 pm (Spanish time), with the institutional presence of political representatives from the three municipalities that are part of Eurocity (Ayamonte, Castro Marim and Vila Real de Santo António).

The presentation of the Joint Tourism Strategy of Eurocity will be made by Ricardo Cipriano, vice-president of the Municipality of Vila Real de Santo António and member of the Steering Committee of Eurocity.

«The Eurocity of Guadiana thus starts the year 2023 in the best way, highlighting the strategic work for tourism in the territory, developed in recent months, making known its lines of action and objectives, through a joint governance strategy of the destination", says the VRSA municipality.

The Strategic Tourism Plan of the Eurocity of Guadiana 2023-2027 is the result of the partnership established by the participants of the Euroguadiana 2020 project, constituting a basic instrument for the development of tourism in the territory of the Eurocity for the next five years.

At Fitur, the tourist brand “A Fronteira Líquida” will also be made known, appealing not only to the natural and scenic qualities of the territory, but also to the cultural heritage and the offer of leisure activities that can be carried out in this cross-border region.

All these actions are carried out and financed under the Euroguadiana 2020 Project of the Interreg VA Spain-Portugal 2014-2020 Program (POCTEP), co-financed by the ERDF.
