Spanish vessel caught illegally fishing in the Algarve

Maritime Police seized 100 kilos of shellfish

A Spanish vessel was caught illegally fishing in the Algarve this Wednesday, January 4, during a joint action carried out by the Portuguese Navy and the National Maritime Authority.

The vessel, which was carrying around 100 kilograms of shellfish, was taken to the port of Vila Real de Santo António, where members of the Maritime Police seized the captured shellfish, as a precautionary measure.

The seized fish was then delivered to the Docapesca auction to be sold, leaving the value to the order of the process..
