The João de Deus House-Museum, in São Bartolomeu de Messines, in the municipality of Silves, will be closed this Monday, January 16, due to a «periodic disinfestation».
In a note sent to the press, the Câmara de Silves thanks the «better understanding of the residents for the inconvenience caused».
The João de Deus House-Museum, located at Rua Dr. Francisco Neto Cabrita nº1, opened its doors to the public on the 25th of October 1997 and is a tribute to the poet and pedagogue, author of the “Cartilha Maternal”, who was born in Messines.
