He was awaiting trial and was arrested again for drug trafficking

A 34-year-old man was arrested in flagrante delicto for drug trafficking, on the 12th, in Portimão. The alleged drug dealer was already obliged to make periodic appearances at the police station for the same crime, but even so, he continued to sell drugs, according to the PSP, which made the arrest.

The defendant, who from now on will await trial in preventive detention, was trafficking drugs in the municipalities of Portimão and Lagoa.

On the two occasions he was arrested, he had product with him. In all, 530 doses of heroin, 92 doses of cocaine and 5300 euros were seized.

The investigation that allowed the man to be caught in the act was «developed over the last few months».

The first time he was detained, the suspect saw the coercive measure of periodic presentations applied to him at the PSP Police Station.

The Portimão Criminal Investigation Station continued with the investigation and realized that the suspect did not stop dealing drugs, «which culminated in a new arrest for the commission of the same crime», last week.

After being presented before the Criminal Investigation Judge, he was ordered to be held in custody pending trial.
