The 31st International Guitar Competition “Cidade de Lagoa” takes place from the 2st of March to the XNUMXnd of April.
The contest will have the variants of Guitar Solo and Chamber Music with Guitar. Registration is open until the 28th of February.
The competition was born from an initiative between the Guitar Association of the Algarve and the Municipality of Lagoa and, in this first year, it will honor the guitarist José Gregório.
The International Guitar Competition will take place every two years.
Guitar students and professionals, aged between 9 and 35, nationals and foreigners, residents and non-residents in Portugal, can participate in the contest.
Registration is done by filling in the registration form, which you can find here and payment of the corresponding fee.
The contest prizes range from 150 to 5 thousand euros.
At the same time, the “Prémio Cidade de Lagoa” will be awarded to the best Algarve guitarist in the contest, as well as to the best Algarve chamber music group.
