PSD accuses socialist deputies of preventing the advance of the Hospital Central do Algarve

Because of the lead of a proposal by the Social Democrats

The deputies to the Assembly of the Republic of the PSD elected by the Algarve demand “a clear and urgent clarification on the future of the Hospital Central do Algarve”, accusing the PS of “failing any initiative” that goes towards the progress of the work in 2023.

At issue is the lead by the Socialists, who hold an absolute majority in Parliament, of a PSD proposal, within the scope of the State Budget discussion, «so that in the first half of next year the Government would launch a public-private partnership for the construction of this new equipment".

Taking into account that «the Minister of Health recently announced, in Parliament, that the new Hospital Central do Algarve would go ahead in 2023», the social democrats see this lead as a contradiction - even if the rejection of this proposal does not make it impossible to fulfill the promise from the government.

«The deputies Luís Gomes, Rui Cristina and Ofélia Ramos regret, once again, that for the Executive and for the PS, the Central Hospital of the Algarve is not a matter of agreement, leaving thousands of Algarve people without access to decent and reliable health care. proximity”, they allege.
