National Bodyboard event crowned champions in Praia da Rocha

Highlight for the "home" athlete Rafael Nobrega who, despite being 14 years old, lost in the last 5 seconds of the heat a place in the grand final of sub16

Vicente Campos (Under 12) and Eduardo Macedo (Under 16), both athletes from Clube Naval Povoense, were crowned national champions, in the National Bodyboard Championship (Hopes), which took place on the weekend of December 3rd and 4th, in Stone beach.

The race conditions were excellent, the swell entered firmly and the wind was light throughout the weekend. The athletes put on a real Bodyboard show. Highlight for the "home" athlete Rafael Nobrega who, despite being 14 years old, lost in the last 5 seconds of the heat a place in the grand final of sub16.

The event had the support of the Portimão Parish Council, Mistral Restaurant, Clube Naval de Portimão Bar, Hotel Mirachoro, Trash and Fisiorider.

The stage prizes were offered by SurfCloud and the local surf shop Secret Spot.

It was organized by Núcleo de Bodyboard de Portimão, in partnership with the Municipality of Portimão.
