Paderne Medieval is back with dance, music and staging

Paderne Medieval is back on the streets of this parish of Albufeira, until the 1st of January, with dance, music, staging, performances and performances alluding to the XNUMXth century.

For the 14th time, the party is once again part of the Albufeira City Council's New Year's program (after the interregnum due to the pandemic).

For José Carlos Rolo, Mayor, this is an action «that shows the relevance of this moment for the people of Albufeira, for the promotion of Albufeira and for the development of this village in the Algarve’s Barrocal».

«This is yet another activity prepared by the Municipality, which means that visitors, regardless of age, can enjoy the best that Albufeira has to offer», continues the mayor, referring that «Paderne Medieval is already, with all certainty, a tradition of the municipality, which reaches an indisputable level of quality and attractiveness, integrating the program of New Year's Eve in Albufeira».

 

 

During his speech, José Carlos Rolo also highlighted the importance of the return of this great New Year's party, as it «revives the memory of national and international tourists, who recognize Albufeira as a destination that celebrates this time of year with great animation» .

As in previous editions, the atmosphere of this party will be broadcast live, on the 31st of December, on the TVI program “Somos Portugal”, in a six-hour broadcast, from 14 pm to 00 pm, with interviews and reports on the entire county.

This year, Paderne expects to welcome around 10 visitors, throughout the entire experience, whose program includes various activities and historical recreations with emphasis on the Royal Procession through the streets of Burgo and the Reading of the Letter of Donation of the Castle of Paderne to the Order from Avis, at 14 pm, on the 00st of December.

Entry to Paderne Medieval costs 1,50 euros.
