The Parish Council of Albufeira and Olhos de Água distributed 125 Christmas hampers to various needy families.
The action reached 166 people who benefited from a basket made up of essential foods and other foods typical of this season, such as cod, olive oil, among others.
These baskets «form another solidarity action by the Parish Council which, given the difficult context experienced with rising prices and galloping inflation, has done everything in its power to help those who need it most», says the autarchy.
The initiative was supported by the António Silva Leal Foundation.
