From the Hotel Algarve Casino to the various Tivolis, the Algarve hotel industry has everything ready for New Year's Eve, with varied programmes.
There are gala dinners, entertainment, tasting menus and others designed for the whole family. If you prefer, you can also choose options with stay included.
Algarve Casino Hotel
No Algarve Casino Hotel, in Portimão, the program includes accommodation and dinner. The dinner, which takes place in the Aladino Hall, in the Casino, will feature groups “Full house Band” and “Ganda Banda” to liven up the party. The price is 165 euros per person.
At the hotel, the Salão Amendoeiras will also be prepared for a party with live music. Dinner will be available for 145 euros per person, and 72,5 euros per child, from 3 to 12 years old, being free up to 2 years old.
NAU Sao Rafael Atlantico
The NAU São Rafael Atlântico, in Albufeira, presents a package that includes accommodation on the night of December 31st, gala dinner and entertainment.
Starting at 19:00 pm, the welcome cocktail is followed by dinner at 19:45 pm, with standard, vegan or children's menu options (for children up to 6 years old).
This dinner features live music by the 'Orquestra Humana', with different musical moments throughout the meal.
Before midnight, at 23:45 pm, customers are invited to watch the fireworks at the Panoramic Bar at São Rafael Atlântico.
Supper is served at 1:00 am, and until 2:00 am, customers will enjoy the Open Bar, with the same selection of drinks as for dinner and sparkling wine.
The New Year's Eve package at the NAU São Rafael Atlântico hotel is available from 215 euros per person.
The Standard Gala Dinner includes, for starters, asparagus, black pork ham, egg, cream cheese and truffle, celery and spice chutney and shrimp ketchup with BBQ pepper ketchup and fried onions.
The starter is pumpkin tartlet and cured goat cheese with apple, pine nuts and coriander. The seafood dish consists of crab cake, sea bass and olives and the fish dish includes cod with sea soup and pumpkin. The appetizer is an apple and lemon sorbet with medronho, orange, almond and honey.
This is followed by the meat dish: Bairrada-style suckling pig, chestnut gnocchi and orange emulsion. Finally, dessert features orange, almond and honey.
For those who opt for the vegan gala dinner, there is celery chutney and crudités, lentil and mushroom soup, coconut milk and butternut squash risotto, tempeh soba noodles, edamame, asparagus and broccoli with pesto, coconut gazpacho, lime and cardamom with a slice of pineapple, Thai chickpea curry, sweet potato and spinach, and finally, orange, almond and medronho.

Palmares Ocean Living & Golf
The Clubhouse restaurant at Palmares Ocean Living & Golf, in the municipality of Lagos, opposite the Ria de Alvor, it presents a party with a DJ for New Year's Eve, late supper, sparkling wine and raisins to welcome in the new year.
Beforehand, the night starts with a cocktail and ambient saxophone music. The menu has options ranging from Oysters, Salmon Blini, Tuna Tartare and Quail Escabeche as first courses.
For 230 euros per person, dinner, with wine pairing, includes lobster, citrus fruits and oscietra caviar, spider crab, fennel, sea bass, mussels, veal, saffron and wild mushrooms.
Chocolate, Passion Fruit and Hazelnuts are the dessert options.
On day 1, lunch can be enjoyed at the Palmares Beach House Hotel, where serrano ham, natural oysters, suckling pig rissol and Waldorf Salad with smoked brisket and walnuts will be presented. Fish and prawn rice and Rack of lamb with rosti potatoes, roasted vegetable terrine and mint sauce are the main dishes. For dessert, there is an apple crumble tart, dried fruit and vanilla ice cream.

Quinta do Lago
For New Year's Eve, the luxury resort Quinta do Lago presents a program in four of the group's 14 restaurants.
At Bovino Steakhouse, where there will be live music, the evening begins with an amuse bouche of marinated watermelon, avocado and coconut, followed by toasted frisella, breaded tiger prawns or wagyu.
For the main course, there will be no shortage of the house specialty: meats. Alternatives range from matured loin of beef to matured tomahawk. If you prefer fish, there is fillet of stuffed chanterelle. Dessert is eton mess, rice pudding or apple pie.
At Casa Velha, the restaurant fine dining recommended by the Michelin Guide, the menu starts with Gamba Violeta with coriander broth, pata negra, lemon caviar, cherries, marine plankton and even king krab with imperial caviar, shrimp, avocado, salt plants and yuzu.
This is followed by the main courses, which include turbot, accompanied with roasted salsify and cauliflower couscous, the Ovo Bio with cepes cream, foie gras, smoked celery, bacon and sweet onion sauce and the rubia gallega loin with parsnip , alba truffle, romanesco and port wine sauce. The meal ends with citrus fruit smoothie and a 70% cocoa jivara chocolate cake.
Also at Dano's, the sports bar do resort, there is music, food and fun. The menu consists, for starters, of tuna takati, creamy mushroom and pumpkin risotto. For main dishes there is sirloin steak, sea bass fillet or marinated tofu. Dessert is chocolate tartlet.
Finally, Casa do Lago presents a dinner in front of the lake, whose menu consists of fish and seafood from the region, accompanied with seasonal ingredients. Options include grilled tiger prawns, tuna tartar, grilled wild scallops, sea bass fillet and sirloin steak. To finish, there is panna cotta of orange blossom, dark chocolate tart and salted caramel ice cream.
At midnight, there will be a fireworks show by the lake.
For the night of 31 December, a welcome cocktail is reserved at the Tivoli Carvoeiro in the hotel lobby, from 19 pm, to the sound of a DJ and saxophone.
The One Restaurant offers a five-course menu and wine pairing, which includes red mullet with fennel and caviar or matured loin of beef with vegetables and black truffle.
At 00:00 a toast with fireworks will be prepared. The party continues in the Almansor room where supper will also be served. This program costs 200 euros per person.
Alternatively, and designed for the whole family, a New Year's Eve Gala is planned in the Almansor room, which will also feature a welcome cocktail in the hotel lobby, starting at 19 pm, and a performance by a DJ and saxophone. The menu consists of five dishes, where the crispy prawns with Jerusalem artichoke puree and lime stand out.
This menu will be accompanied with a pairing wine tasting and a live Jazz concert with a tribute to Michael Bublé, followed by a party with an open bar and supper.
The program is available for 250 euros per person, with children between 6 and 12 years old having a 50% discount.
For the first day of 2023 the suggestion is a brunch buffet at the Med restaurant, with cooking show and selection of drinks included, for 40 per person. Children pay 20.
In Lagos, anyone who decides to spend the year at the hotel Fairground, You can count on an exclusive menu with two starters (blue lobster, black tiger prawns, oscietra caviar and prawn cream), fish dish (sea bream with potato millet), meat dish (beef wellington with violet potatoes and vegetables) and dessert.
As usual, at 1:00 am supper will be served, accompanied by a selection of Portuguese wines.
The menu is 140 euros per person with drinks included.
To welcome 2023, a brunch will be served from 11 am, consisting of suggestions ranging from salads to hot dishes, for 00 euros per person.
To finish off on a great first day of 2023, there's a New Year's buffet dinner with cold and hot dishes and assorted desserts for 28 euros per person, drinks not included.
Tivoli Marina Portimao
The Tivoli Marina Portimão presents a welcome cocktail and amuse-bouche to open the party, with two starters (braised scallop and octopus carpaccio), fish dish (low-temperature croaker with champagne sauce), meat dish ( veal loin with potato gratin), drinks and a complete dessert buffet.
At midnight, the arrival of 2023 is celebrated with champagne, and the evening is prolonged with a New Year's Supper, served at 1:00 am.
The price is 140 euros for adults and 70 euros for children between 3 and 11 years old.
VidaMar Resort Hotel Algarve
To celebrate the last night of ano, the VidaMar Resort Hotel, in Guia, proposes a package that includes two nights of accommodation in a double room, gala dinner and breakfast with extended hours until midday, on the 1st of January, from 539 euros per person.
For the celebration of New Year's Eve, the Vacation Specials presents several options. Each restaurant will have its own menu, although the highlight goes to the Great New Year's Eve Gala, 375 euros, with animation and entertainment during dinner.
The program is completed with a fireworks show in the resort gardens and dancing the night away at the V Club Disco. Table pre-booking is possible for a maximum of five people, with a bottle of Dom Pérignon included (365 euros).
In 2023, the first day of the year can be enjoyed with the usual New Year's Brunch, at the Clubhouse, with live music (110 euros).
Bookings for accommodation start at 220 euros per night, including breakfast.
