A 70-year-old woman died on the morning of Thursday, December 22, in an accident between two light vehicles on Via do Infante, between Olhão and Faro🇧🇷 The road is cut. 

The alert was given at 8:09 pm.

The accident happened at kilometer 86,9, towards Olhão-Faro.

Ao Sul Informação, the Regional Command of Emergency and Civil Protection said that the collision also resulted in a serious injury: a 75-year-old man who has already been transported to the Hospital of Faro.

The victims' car would have been parked near the side of the road and was hit from behind, according to the GNR told Correio da Manhã.

The Via do Infante remains cut between the junctions of Olhão and Faro.

There were 27 operators on site, supported by 12 vehicles, from the Olhão and Tavira Firefighters, INEM, GNR and the concessionaire.
