The 15th edition of the International Festival of Organ do Algarve ended on the 26th of November, but the organization is already thinking about the next edition.

Once this edition is over, Associação Cultural Música XXI already has «many ideas bubbling up» for the next year, which include out-of-door concerts, continuity of public training, social inclusion initiatives, extension of the program to new pipe organs, never neglecting the usual focus on young musicians.

Between the 4th and the 26th of November, there were pedagogical concerts for school-age children, concerts by students from the Organ School, organ workshops for students and enthusiasts, a guided tour inside the organs and even a photographic competition.

O 15th edition program featured chamber music (including an unprecedented combination – historical horn), renowned national and international organists, as well as the timbre presence of a positive organ and a harmonium.

«Collaboration with partners and sponsors was essential for the realization of this initiative, which once again had a large public presence. Around 2650 listeners/children/participants were present at the concerts and initiatives held throughout the month of November», says the organization in a note.

The Organ Festival of the Algarve had the support of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve and the Municipalities of Faro, Loulé, Portimão and Tavira, with support for the dissemination of the Algarve Tourism Region, with communication partners Antena 2, Sul Informação and Rua FM and with the Hotel accommodation partner Faro.

It also had a partnership with the Diocese of Algarve, the Cabido da Sé de Faro, of the Order of Carmo of Faro and the parishes of Portimão, Boliqueime and Tavira, the Association Grupo Coral Adágio, Associação Grupo Coral Ossónoba, Academia de Música de Portimão, Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado, Companhia de Teatro DoisMaisUm, ALFA – Associação Livre de Fotógrafos do Algarve, FNAC and Monastery of São Vicente de Fora.
