Two young people, aged 17 and 18, accused of committing the crime of robbery, were accused, after an investigation by the Portimão Police Division of the PSP, which had the help of the images of the CCTV system recently installed in Praia da Rocha.
The facts date back to the dawn of December 28, in Praia da Rocha, when the duo allegedly assaulted two other young people, both 17 years old.
For the robbery, the suspects used a knife, with a 20 cm blade, with which they coerced the victims to hand over their belongings, namely cell phones, watches and some items of clothing.
After joint efforts by the Territorial Police and the Criminal Investigation Police, which included the use of the CCTV system recently installed in the municipality of Portimão, «it was possible to identify the suspects, as well as to apprehend the weapon used in the crime and all the stolen items» , stresses PSP.
The defendants were subject to an identity and residence term, the facts being communicated to the Public Ministry of Portimão.
