The Municipal Assembly of Monchique approved, on the 29th of November, the Council's Budget for 2023, which will amount to 23 million euros.
The document had 12 votes in favor and six abstentions.
The budget includes funds for "projects that will start and others that will be completed during the next year and that give continuity" to the document in force this year.
According to the municipality, among them are the Air Means Center (work in progress), the rehabilitation of the EB 2,3 Manuel do Nascimento School, the Local Housing Strategy, the external audit, the review of the PDM (in progress), the implementation of energy efficiency and the Digital Balcony and WIFI4EU (ongoing and concluded), the Eco-biological Park of Monchique, the rehabilitation of Parque da Vila, with the creation of a mountain bike centre, natural amphitheater, Children's Park, Padel Court , Poolside bar and relaxation area street workout, as well as the restoration of the S. Sebastião Car Park, which has been closed.
