Algarve under orange warning overnight due to rain

In addition to rain, strong swell is also forecast.

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) placed the district of Faro under orange warning, from 00h00 to 9h00 this Friday, December 9th, due to rain. 

For now, until 23:59 today, the 8th, the Algarve has a yellow warning, but there are forecasts of a lot of precipitation during the night.

After 9:00 am tomorrow, the 9th, the scene should calm down. Hence, from 9:00 am to 15:00 pm, the warning in force is yellow again.

In addition to rain, heavy swell is also forecast.

the district of Faro is, therefore, under yellow warning, due to maritime agitation, in force until 18h00 tomorrow, the 9th.

According to the IPMA, "southwest waves of 4 to 5 meters" are expected.

For the district of Beja, the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere also anticipates rain, placing Baixo Alentejo under yellow warning until 15 pm this Friday, the 00th.
