The GNR seized 190 kilos of avocado during the weekly operation in the district of Faro, between the 28th of November and the 4th of December, aimed at preventing and combating violent crime, road inspection, among others.
During this period, seized 809 bottles of nitrous oxide, 19 illegal fishing traps, 199 doses of hashish and 179 doses of cannabis.
There are still 66 detainees to register, of which 14 stand out for driving under the influence of alcohol and 14 for driving without a legal license.
Within the scope of road inspection, 850 infractions were recorded: 92 for speeding, 46 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 24 related to anomalies in the lighting and signaling systems, 17 for lack of civil liability insurance, 14 for improper use of the cell phone while driving and seven due to lack or incorrect use of seat belts and/or child restraint systems.
There were also 121 accidents resulting in two serious injuries, 19 minor injuries and one death.
During this period, the GNR carried out 39 actions that sensitized 1791 people under the Safe School and 176 elderly people under the Safe Elderly Program.
