São Brás de Alportel delivers a vote of praise to chef Manuel Brazão Pires

For the «relevant performance and contribution to the appreciation of gastronomy»

The Municipality of São Brás de Alportel gave a vote of praise to Manuel Brazão Pires, finalist of the 33rd Chef Cook contest of the year 2022 and winner of the “Helmut Ziebell” award, on the 25th of October. 

The vote was approved by the executive, who highlights «the relevant performance and contribution to the appreciation of gastronomy, of a chef, from a very young age, dedicated, with talent and passion, to this art of flavors, in an exemplary professional path, guided by merit and civic and altruistic sense, always available to contribute to the well-being of his community, which have led him to a career recognized at national level, representing Portugal abroad».

In addition to being present in several prestigious spaces in the hotel and restaurant sector, Manuel Pires launched himself in yet another challenge in the gastronomic contest of Portugal – the 33rd Chef Cook Contest this year, in which, on May 11, he was crowned the winner of the South and Islands regional stage and as one of the six finalists, having also participated in the final that took place on June 29, in Lisbon, having been the winner of the “Helmut Ziebell” Award, with the Best Dessert of the Year.
