“Renature Monchique” will be relaunched to plant another 75 trees in Monchique

The “Renature Monchique” project will be relaunched on Thursday, the 10th, to plant another 75 trees in the mountains and continue the work started four years ago of ecological restoration of the main habitat types of the Natura 2000 Network affected by the 2018 fires. .

The project's relaunch session will take place at the headquarters of the Algarve Tourism Region, in Faroat 11 pm.

“Renature Monchique”, which has been on the ground since 2019, “intends to offset the carbon footprint of the airline Ryanair, revitalizing the ecology of Monchique”.

In addition to the airline, partners in this project are the Land Planning and Environment Study Group (GEOTA), the Algarve Tourism Region (RTA), the Institute for the Conservation of Nature and Forests (ICNF) and the Municipality of Monchique.
