Paderne Medieval is back and registration is already open

Registration for Paderne Medieval, which runs from December 29th to January 1st, is now open. 

Registration for those wishing to participate as an exhibitor must be made by sending the appropriate form, by the 2nd of December, to the email [email protected]. The amount to be charged to exhibitors varies depending on participation in a stall for handicraft exhibition (40 euros), tavern owned by the exhibitors (45 euros), tavern provided by the organization (90 euros) and space in Mouraria, worth 3,5 euros per square meter per day.

The registration fee must be settled by the next 16th of December, in cash or check, at the Albufeira City Council Treasury, or via bank transfer to IBAN PT 50 0035 0018 00000500630 11, Banco Caixa Geral de Depósitos, holder : Municipality of Albufeira.

Payment should only be made after the exhibitor has been notified of their participation in the event.

In a note, the Câmara de Albufeira stresses that non-payment by the indicated date makes participation unfeasible, and proof of this must be sent to the email [email protected]. If payment is not made within the deadline, the vacancy will be assigned to another interested party.

The fair that intends to transform the small village of the Algarve's Barrocal into a showcase of the history and ethnography of the XNUMXth century. XIV stands out for the ceremony of the Delivery of the Letter of Donation of the Castle of Paderne, by D. Dinis, to the Order of Avis, the historic parade and the medieval market, with stalls and stalls and an excellent entertainment programme.

Over the four days, the medieval market extends through the streets of the parish, invaded by smells and flavors from gastronomic delicacies, the representation of arts and crafts and various performances alluding to the time.

As in previous editions, the event will be broadcast live, on the 31st of December, on the program “Somos Portugal”, in a six-hour broadcast, from 14 pm to 00 pm, with interviews and reports about the county.

Public and private entities from the parish of Paderne (priority) and the rest of the municipality can participate as exhibitors. The organization also envisages the possibility of accepting registrations from exhibitors from outside the municipality, in case all available spaces are not occupied.

Participation in Paderne Medieval requires exhibitors to be dressed at the time, and the costume must be arranged by themselves.
