Odiana helped small and medium-sized businesses with financial advice and graphics services

In total, there were 14 participating companies

The Odiana association provided financial consultancy and graphic services to small and medium-sized companies (SMEs), within the scope of the “Interpyme” project.

«The financial consultancy intended to support companies in the elaboration of an investment plan and in the preparation of application dossiers for access to community funds», says Odiana.

«The communication services, on the other hand, acted in consultancy, in the design of promotional tools and in the printing of exhibition materials. This range of actions emerged as a strategy to relaunch the businesses of companies that have been affected in the last two years by the pandemic. These are services that meet the scope of the project: to enhance, improve and promote the competitiveness of SMEs in the territory», he adds.

Among the beneficiary companies [which were exclusively project adherents], products such as salt and fleur de sel, almonds, fresh and dried figs, prickly pear, butter and energy bars, fresh goat cheese , ham and sausages, traditional sweets, jams, honey, citrus fruits, and processed and made with the most identifiable local products.

In total, there were 14 participating companies, each of which pointed out the different contracted services as different needs.

For Odiana’s management, «these actions aim to support companies with tools and content that help them to better communicate and sell their products, namely through digital platforms in a post-pandemic return».

This project, whose objective is to promote opportunities in terms of financing, promotion and internationalization for SMEs in the agri-food sector and gastronomic tourism, started work in 2019 and is expected to last until December of this year and has the support of the Municipalities of Alcoutim, Castro Marim and Vila Real de Santo António.

“Interpyme” – Platform for the Internationalization of Small and Medium-Sized Companies in the Algarve and the Provinces of Cadiz and Huelva – is a cooperation initiative between the Algarve, Alentejo and Andalusia, Interreg VA Spain-Portugal 2014-2020 Program (POCTEP), and co-financed by the ERDF.
