The book “Saber Aging: A journey through the Health of Seniors”, by Armando de Medeiros, a retired family doctor, will be presented on November 30, at 21 pm, at Fnac Faro, at Forum Algarve.
The book, released by LIDEL, will be presented by Assunção Martinez, a retired family doctor who, in addition to clinical duties, was president of the Board of Directors of the ARS in the Algarve, and by Fernando Batista, a retired civil engineer, who spent his entire career professional in Japan, at Kawazaki Steel Corporation.
“Saber Envelhecer – Uma Viagem pela Saúde dos Seniores”, by the doctor Armando de Medeiros, is a book that seeks to help the elderly, their caregivers and all health professionals to understand the changes of aging and to deal with the advancing of age.
This work relies on the medical knowledge and experience of those who have gone through and continue to go through the aging process, using simple and accessible language, using everyday situations to exemplify ideas and concepts, highlighting advice and tips.
Armando de Medeiros was a senior graduate assistant in the General Practice medical career, and is currently retired.
He was a family doctor at the Estoi Extension and at the Al-Gharb Family Health Unit at the Centro de Saúde de Faro, physician at the Prison Faro, coordinator of the Al-Gharb Family Health Unit at the Faro, chairman of the Commission for Pharmacy and Therapeutics of the ARS do Algarve, responsible for the Directorate of Health Services of the ARS do Algarve, representative of the ARS do Algarve on the Coordination Committee of the National Program for the Prevention and Control of Diabetes, centralized in the DGS, and representative of the Algarve ARS in the Rational Use of Medicines Commission, centralized in Infarmed.
