Students of German nationality held Erasmus in Lagoa, from 19 to 27 October

The Municipality of Lagoa welcomed the young students of the “Eramus + Great GroßARTig” project, a project that results from the partnership with the German School of the Algarve.

The project, which aims to «promote encounters between different cultures, where students, from different school years, learn from each other, transforming public space through art and nature, where social interaction, inclusion and sustainability are the words -key», began on the 26th of October, at the Escola de Artes de Lagoa Mestre Fernando Rodrigues, with a workshop on inclusion and a drawing and painting activity.

This activity was carried out by students from the German School of the Algarve and students from the secondary school in Seßlach, with the participation of six employees from the Lagoa City Council, four of whom are part of the Employment Inserção Contract programme.

On the 7th of October, there was a visit to Quinta da Fonte Velha, which had a practical and theoretical component, where the theme of the environment and climate was discussed and the germination/planting and growth process of plants was explained.

German students took part in Erasmus in Lagoa, from 19 to 27 October, to learn more about art from artists from Lagoa and Germany.
