Registrations are now open for the 5th edition of the Milage Learn+ awards, a project by the University of Algarve, until the 30th of November.
The awards are aimed at students and teachers, and aim to “recognise innovative practices, through mobile learning, to promote equal opportunities and quality of education throughout primary and secondary education”.
This edition promotes the expansion of the initiative to other categories, in partnership with SeguraNet, the General Directorate of Education, Centro Ciência Viva do Algarve and Tavira, Association of Mathematics Teachers, Portuguese Mathematics Society, Association of Teachers of Portuguese, Portuguese Association of Teachers of English and Portuguese Association of Teachers of Spanish.
The four categories are Math Half Marathon, Math Score, Portuguese, English, Spanish, Mediterranean and Pre-Ocean Diet, Student Author MILAGE LEARN+ Math, Portuguese, English, Spanish, Mediterranean Diet, Pre-Ocean, Cultural Heritage or Digital Citizenship and Professor Innovative Author MILAGE LEARN+ Mathematics, Portuguese, English or Spanish.
The Milage Learn+ Mathematics Half Marathon is an award that aims to promote innovative pedagogical practices with the Milage Learn+ app, with the participation of the whole class so that students can be more motivated to learn mathematics and achieve school success.
In the Mathematics Score, Portuguese, English, Spanish, Mediterranean Diet and Pr'Oceano Milage Learn+ are recognized the students and the respective elementary and secondary schools that, when solving tasks in these subjects, of the academic year in which they are enrolled, reach the best scores.
The Student Author Milage Learn+ Mathematics, Portuguese, English, Spanish, Mediterranean Diet, Pr´Oceano, Cultural Heritage or Digital Citizenship aims to distinguish teams of students from the 2nd and 3rd cycles and secondary education, guided by teachers, who during this school year to prepare original sheets, according to these categories, to be made available in the Milage Learn+ application.
The last category is Innovative Author Professor Milage Learn+ Mathematics, Portuguese, English or Spanish, which aims to distinguish teachers who, during the current school year, prepare original sheets of these subjects, to be made available in the Milage Learn+ application.
The 5th edition of the Milage Learn+ awards will take place in Sesimbra, on July 13, 2023, with the support of the municipality.
