Vilamoura International College hosts Christmas Fair to help needy communities

On the 26th of November, between 10 am and 00 pm

The International College of Vilamoura will once again host, on the 26th of November, between 10:00 am and 15:00 pm, the Christmas Fair, which will support the Quarteira Social Canteen, the Homeless Support Center (CASA) and The Big Hand.

This is an initiative promoted for over 30 years, which will feature several stalls with national and international cuisine, regional products, sweets, organic products, books, toys and crafts, musical moments and lots of entertainment for children and young people.

At the same time, food items will be collected, in an initiative developed in conjunction with the Food Bank.

“In the current context, and following the post-pandemic and current war in Ukraine, the increase in prices in several areas has a very strong impact on everyone and especially on the most disadvantaged. Educating for values is also mobilizing the school community for solidarity, for the protection and support of the most vulnerable. The CIV's educational community has, over almost four decades, constituted an example in the promotion of humanist values», said Cidália Bicho, pedagogical director.

The Christmas Fair has the support of the Loulé City Council, the Parish Council of Quarteira and Inframoura.
