The Plan contains guidelines and internal policies aimed at improving the indicators related to the Plan's six priority objectives

The Commission for Coordination and Regional Development (CCDR) of the Algarve approved the ECO.AP 2030 Efficiency Plan for the three-year period 2022-2024, which provides for a reduction in the consumption of energy, water and material resources and emissions of greenhouse gases. Greenhouse (GHG), with the increase in the incorporation of renewable energy sources in self-consumption regime and CCDR's participation in the improvement of resource efficiency and the reduction.

This document complies with the provisions of Council of Ministers Resolution No. 104/2020, of November 24, which approves the Resource Efficiency Program in Public Administration for the period up to 2030 (ECO.AP 2030), as well as the guidelines and internal policies that aim to improve the indicators referring to the six priority objectives of the Plan, throughout the period of effectiveness.

These objectives are to complete the energy certification of buildings covered by the Energy Certification System for Buildings (SCE); increase the Incorporation of Renewable Energies in Final Energy Consumption through self-consumption and storage solutions; increase Water Efficiency; increase Material Efficiency; train and sensitize workers on energy, water and material efficiency; communicate the Strategy of the governing area within the scope of ECO.AP 2030; promote actions to disseminate the objectives, targets, planning and results under the ECO.AP 2030.

In the two buildings where it currently carries out its mission – Building in Praça da Liberdade and Palácio Doglioni, both in Faro –, with the implementation of this Plan, CCDR intends to reduce operating costs in terms of energy by 20% and the emission of greenhouse gases by 7%.
