Castro Marim receives visit from students of the University of Algarve

This collaboration – between UAlg and Câmara de Castro Marim – is «profitable for both universes»

Last Friday, November 25th, Castro Marim received two visits from students from the University of Algarve (UAlg).

The first group of students is attending international masters at the Faculty of Economics.

Thus, visits were promoted to the Verdelago development, a resort of luxury shared with nature and sustainability values, to the Cannprisma Plantation and Laboratory and to the Sapal de Castro Marim Natural Reserve and VRSA, namely to Cooperativa Terras de Sal.

The natural and architectural heritage was the main objective of the visit of the second group, students of Ecology and Introduction to Landscape Architecture, looking for the historical context of the salt farming activity and highlighting its importance in the economic development of the region.

This collaboration – between UAlg and Câmara de Castro Marim – is «profitable for both universes, in a culture of sharing experiences and knowledge», defends Filomena Sintra, vice-president of the Municipality of Castro Marim.
